I launched PackDaddyUK in May 2025, but my love for the hobby started way back on the primary school playground. I was swapping Base Set Charizards, stacking shiny holos in elastic bands (we didn’t have a clue they’d be worth a fortune one day), and battling mates at lunchtime.

I’ve played every Pokémon game since picking my first starter in Kanto on Red and Blue, taking down Team Rocket with Lance in Johto, stopping Team Aqua flooding Hoenn, and even grinding through a laggy Paldea on my battered old Switch.

I’ve always collected English cards, drifting in and out of the hobby over the years. Like many, I properly jumped back in during the pandemic. That’s when I decided to turn a lifelong passion into something bigger: a business that shares the excitement and nostalgia of collecting with others.

My mission is simple: stay true to myself and create a knowledgeable, fun, and welcoming community. I want every collector and customer to feel that same buzz they did when they first pulled a holo Charizard, Lugia, or whatever their favourite card was as a kid.

Here at PackDaddyUK, we genuinely care about the hobby. We learn together, celebrate the big hits, and support each other - whether you’re a total beginner or a long-time binder-filler.

It’s just me. I run this solo, and I keep my face and name private - here, I’m simply PackDaddy.

And yes… there’s a running joke that this whole venture is a giant compromise with my wife (aka Mrs PackDaddy or PackMummy). She wasn’t too keen on me spending our life savings collecting Pokémon cards, so PackDaddyUK was born. Now, I get to enjoy the hobby (without bankrupting us), and we still keep a roof over our heads.
